Description

In many organisation employees are the predominant cost and influence on profits. Being busy is not the same as producing results which in turns requires foresight, planning and feedback.

The eVolution Performance Appraisal system is a web and workflow enabled tool to assist in (a) aligning organisational goals with staff goals (b) goal tracking (c) competency and employee development.

The eVolution Performance Appraisal system automates paper document flow between employees, managers, and HR using electronic appraisal forms and email communication when action is required by each of the parties. It streamlines the end-to-end performance appraisal process covering objectives setting, annual performance reviews and probationary reviews. eVolution provides employees and managers with a clear explanation of their responsibilities in the each process from initial discussion/planning, to on-going feedback and employee development.

Key features mean:

(1) Managers can set objectives which can be routed to employees for their review and approval;

(2) Managers can initiate Performance Appraisals for their staff;

(3) Employees receive an automatic email notification for their Performance Appraisal and can logon to it via the link available in the email using a password. They fill in the Self-Appraisal section of the Appraisal form and outline their job description as they see it, training they feel they require, share their future career development aspirations, assess their strengths and weaknesses, etc;

(4) Appraisals can then be routed back to the Manager for review, future objectives recommendations and performance assessment for each of the set objectives. eVolution also allow identification of achievements based on performance factors such as specific professional knowledge, teamwork, communication skills, etc. Overall performance rating can also be logged;

(5) the comments and recommendations feature can be used as an alternative to face-to-face performance appraisal meetings with which some of the staff may not be comfortable with;

(6) Managers can identify training needs and other action steps. Optionally the system can be configured to send notifications to Training Administrators;

(7) Finalised Appraisals can be sent to HR for review;

(8) Management Information is automatic for current and historical appraisals By Status (Completed/ Pending/ Draft/ Rejected), By Appraiser, By Appraisee, By Department or Unit, By Year, By Performance Rating.
